How Nevolat Supports Clinically Supervised Weight Management
What is Nevolat?

Is Nevolat safe?

How does Nevolat work?
Nevolat contains liraglutide, which acts on receptors in the brain that regulate appetite and on the rate at which the stomach empties. These combined effects can contribute to a reduction in food intake. Nevolat is most effective as part of a structured programme that includes dietary support and lifestyle changes, both of which are provided through your VSC treatment plan.
Who can prescribed Nevolat?
Nevolat is a prescription-only medicine. It is licensed for adults with a BMI of 30 kg/m² or above, or 27 kg/m² or above with at least one weight-related condition (such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, or dyslipidaemia). Eligibility is confirmed by your prescriber during a full clinical assessment — it is not assumed in advance.
Is Nevolat the same as Saxenda or Mounjaro?
Nevolat and Saxenda contain the same active ingredient (liraglutide) at the same concentration, produced by different manufacturers — they are therapeutically equivalent. Mounjaro is a different medicine containing tirzepatide, with a different mechanism of action and dosing schedule. The right treatment for you depends on your clinical history and assessment, not a general comparison. Your prescriber will advise.
What side effects can Nevolat cause?
As with any prescription medicine, side effects are possible. The most commonly reported are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation, particularly during the dose-escalation phase. These often ease as treatment continues. A full list of possible side effects is contained in the Patient Information Leaflet supplied with each pack. Your prescriber will discuss the relevant side effects with you during your consultation, and your clinical team is available throughout your treatment if anything concerns you.
How do I buy Nevolat in UK?
Nevolat is a prescription-only medicine and cannot be purchased over the counter in the UK. At Virtual Slimming Clinic you can start your clinical consultation online. If your prescriber determines that Nevolat is appropriate for you, your prescription is dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy partner and delivered directly to you.
How long does a Nevolat pre-filled devices last?
Each Nevolat pack contains three pre-filled devices, each holding 3 ml of solution at 6 mg/ml liraglutide. At the maintenance dose of 3.0 mg daily, one device provides approximately ten daily doses. At lower escalation doses, each device lasts longer. Your clinical team will confirm what to expect at your current dose.
